Free At Home Workouts to Keep You Moving and Feeling Your Best

For avid gym-goers, social distancing can be pretty frustrating. Being removed from your normal routine can leave you unmotivated and on your second bowl of cereal rather than your second set of reps.

Whether you live for a good sweat or you are just trying to get started, there are a number of free resources that can keep you motivated and looking forward to your at home workout. It is a good idea to switch it up every once in awhile, you may even find something you really enjoy, learn a new skill, or discover muscles you didn’t even know existed.

Here is a list of at home workouts that you can access for free:

Planet Fitness

Known as the “judgment-free zone” of fitness gyms, you are even less likely to be judged in the comfort of your own home. Livestream workouts stream for free on their Facebook page at 7 p.m. EST daily and can be found after on their YouTube Channel.

Orange Theory

A fun fitness cult that has opened its doors (not literally) to members and non-members alike by uploading free 30 minute at home workouts. No special equipment needed, but be prepared to pick up creative objects like houseplants or water jugs instead of weights.

Fite.TV with Bas Rutten

Whether you are a trained martial artist or someone who just wants to be hard to kill, MMA legend and hall of famer, Bas Rutten is hosting free workouts Monday through Friday at 1 p.m. eastern on Fite.TV. Try something new. You just might like it!

24 Hour Fitness

The 24-Go app is now available for members and non-members alike with a seemingly endless supply of customizable workouts targeting different body parts, intensity and fitness goals. There are options for at home workouts with or without equipment.

Aside from the 7-day free trial that includes customizable workouts for everyone, Sworkit also has kid-friendly workouts that are forever free. This could be the saving grace you have been looking for if you have high-energy little ones at home.

The YMCA has a new free online community program that offers classes and digital coaching with popular classes like bootcamp, barre, yoga and even low impact programs for seniors, which are a demographic left out of a lot of other at home workout resources.

Blink Fitness

For all of you who miss being at the gym at the crack of dawn, Blink Fitness has you covered. Their live stream starts at 8 am EST every weekday, which is fairly early for the rest of the nation. The program is called “Get Up and Blink.”

305 Fitness

If dancing is your thing or you would like dancing to be your thing, 305 Fitness is one of New York City’s most popular workout programs. Free cardio dance live streams are happening twice a day on Youtube at 12 pm and 6 pm EST.

Stay Active and Healthy with Free At Home Workouts

Staying active is crucial to maintaining optimal health, especially with the high potential for you to be a bit more stressed than usual right now. According to the Mayo Clinic, “Virtually any form of exercise, from aerobics to yoga, can act as a stress reliever. If you're not an athlete or even if you're out of shape, you can still make a little exercise go a long way toward stress management.”

If you like to do it yourself, rather than follow along with an instructor, HERE are some workouts you can do by themselves or as an addition to whatever exercise you have planned.

Post Workout Recovery

Don’t forget the importance of post workout recovery which could include:

-Proper Hydration

-Nutritional Intake

-Receptra Relief tincture and Targeted Topical™

-Adequate Rest
