Receptra Naturals Declared an Essential CBD Business

Apr 4th 2020

Are CBD Oil Businesses Essential? We think so, but we may be biased. You decide.

With ever-changing regulations and mandates surrounding the COVID19, Receptra Naturals is continuing to provide quality products with strength you can rely on.

A number of states have deemed cannabis businesses as essential allowing for delivery and curbside pickup for dispensaries and open operation of health stores that carry CBD. This includes Colorado, where Receptra is based and will continue to deliver the high-quality CBD products you have come to trust for your wellness needs especially during this important and stressful time.

Essential Businesses Stay Open

“The recognition by our government officials that cannabis is indeed not just here to stay, but an essential part of life for millions of Americans—particularly in the patient community—is a welcome move in the right direction,” NORML Executive Director Erik Altieri told Forbes. “It is also a move that could not have come at a better moment for those who still require access to maintain quality of life during these trying and troubled times.

Not all states have uniformly declared CBD and other cannabis businesses essential, thought orders focused around the COVID19 pandemic are constantly changing to meet the needs of the country. Receptra will continue to provide free ground shipping to all 50 states though this time along with a satisfaction guarantee.

The FDA has not presented formal regulations on the benefits of CBD, but many consumers find anecdotal relief for sleepless nights, physical discomfort, daily stress, and anxious thoughts. This relief could be the difference between a good day and a bad day, especially for those working from home with children, or out on the front lines still doing their jobs so that the rest of us have healthcare, food, and other essentials.

According to International Business Times, "Amid a massive public health crisis, government officials are declaring that cannabis brands and dispensaries should be kept open as essential businesses that have intrinsic value for people’s well-being in communities across the country. . . These businesses are now seen as providing a valuable service on par with picking up prescription drugs at a pharmacy or grabbing food at the grocery store.

How CBD Works and Why That’s Important

All vertebrates have an endocannabinoid system (ECS) that serves the purpose of helping the body establish and maintain balance for optimal health and wellness. “Endo” means inside and “cannabinoids” are cannabis compounds. Simply, we have cannabinoids already inside of us that the body naturally produces.

CBD interacts with the body’s natural endocannabinoid system by responding to cannabinoid receptors. The primary cannabinoid receptors in the body are CB1 and CB2. They are found in virtually every organ in the body including the brain and throughout all bodily systems (immune, nervous, circulatory, etc).

According to LiveScience, "Every variety of the cannabis family produces cannabinoids, including hemp. While CBD and THC are the most well-known cannabinoids, there are many different types, and only recently have significant resources been poured into their study. Our brains have specific receptors designed to accept cannabinoids.

There have been a number of studies correlating a lack of endocannabinoid receptors with depression and anxiety as well as other health conditions. The term "Clinical Endocannabinoid Deficiency" (CECD) refers to that theory. As an example, the 2006 European weight-loss drug “Rimonabant” blocked CB1 receptors. The drug was quickly banned due to severe cases of anxiety, depression and even suicide, implying that functional ECS receptors are crucial for wellbeing. The drug was never approved in the U.S.
